A friendly visitor, Ferdinand The Fox, stops by daily to visit and snack. He eats out of our hands -- and we still have all our fingers!! Georgian Bay is part of the Great Lakes, famous for its glacial terrain.

  • You know it is kinda sad that he is so friendly.

Because what if he got that close and didn't

care and was friendly to someone with a bad

reputation that hurts or kills foxes and other animals.

  • @IndigoCat17 It was a huge gift to have the companionship of this little fox. The sad thing is that there are humans who enjoy killing. Foxes are smart and can tell when someone is a loving human.

  • Awww what a gorgeous fox he is

it is so amazing how close you got

to him and how he let you hand feed him.

  • @IndigoCat17 yes, it was truly awesome. This is in a remote place in Northern Ontario - and we think a neighbour who wintered in their cottage that year started to feed him. He arrived the first day we opened our cottage and stayed the summer. When I made this video I was blind, I could tell where the fox was, with light and dark patches, but I could not really see him. His lips were soft and gentle on my fingers. After my sight was restored, I was amazed by how beautiful and tiny he was.

  • Cute poor hungry animal..

  • @PlanetDove Sorry for the late response. And yes, they're pretty small. Its all we have in florida as far as foxes go. She came up to about our knees I think. Its pretty fuzzy. I saw her when I was about six (now 18) and have never seen a fox since then.

  • @Kitten4000 how wonderful that you have had an up-close fox experience too! It was interesting to discover that they bury their food. Is the grey fox a small fox? Ferdy came up to our knees.

  • Cute little fox :). We ran into a grey fox once in the woods though we didn't give her our food, she stole it. lol She would run up, snatch a hotdog off our plate then run about 10 feet away from us and bury it then come back more. She was so beautiful it was worth being hungry for a night to watch her walk up and take the food.

  • Very Nice. The fox was well mannered and carefully took the offered food.

    Thank You
