I have discovered that it was a build issue.. Turns out there was not enough piston to wall clearance and the number 2 piston was torn up really bad which caused the piston to rock in the bore. Thanks to all for your insight I have the problem fixed at went to Dyno at 330whp and 290ft/lbs and take 2nd place in the unlimited division at Targa Newfoundland.

---My motor developed this tick after a run and for the life of me i can't figure out what it is. I replaced the LMAs and check the valve adjustment but can seem to get rid of it. If you have any suggestions as to what it is please post it.

  • Sorry but its a sleeved 84mm ls vtec with ported head CP pistons, eagle rods, RC 750cc injectors, etc, etc, this is not a "stock" motor. But I guess you would know.....

  • i know this is fixed and i read what the problem was.... but just by ear of a youtube video its impossible to tell. coulda been a rod knock, piston rock as the problem turned out to be, majority of the time its just chattery valves as thats a common issue with hondas. anyways glad you fixed it and hope your drivin hard!
