By using a long range attack, the first couple of frames of the wakeup uppercut will whiff, thus making a 3-frame reversal safe-jumpable.

  • Vega's(Claw) j.middlekick works just as good, I remember fighting a ryu in SSF4 and did that kick and his 2nd ultra whiffed it badly.

  • well If I am lead and I don't mind try this online, but sometime a UTKD is better use for UC setup, unless they have GDLK respond speed and knowledge this bison mind game can drive any character totally NUTS.

    just little bit too risky, if Ryu I don't mind since SRK fadc ultra 1 is not that bad, but if is ultra 2 and angry scar sagat I will not try this.

  • I always try to do that online, granded I don't have enough training with this but I suspect lag affects A LOT how successful the safe jump will be.

  • it's not spacing but timing of the jump in that is most important for safe jumping. check out your thread to see my response detailing your safe jump options against shotos.
