Because that reckless ass Shaakashvili tried to bring the EU into it, as well as the USA in the midst of a presidential election.
McCain tried to use it for his own domestic political purposes (just like war criminal Shaakashvili used it).

Scumbags like that always irresponsibly do their sabre rattling mainly to try to get an advantage over their domestic political opposition.

Shaakashvili wasted Georgian lives in his dumb adventure. He was willing to risk American lives and WW3 too.

You do realize that people from all over the world live in the USA and are proud to be American. Even Russians call America home!
