Ayo Gorkhali - 'Freedom Parade' Pt.2 (of 2)

This short film about the British Gurkhas and their ties with the town of Brecon in Wales was produced by the Believe Collective (www.believecollective.net) and edited by Satsang (www.satsangproductions.com) as part of the 'Ayo Gorkhali!' exhibition project.

'Ayo Gorkhali!' was commissioned by Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery and was funded by the Welsh Assembly's 'Inspiring Learning for All' grant. The project celebrates the legacy of the Gurkhas and their ties with the UK and Brecon in particular. A separate strand of the project is linking schools in Brecon with schools in Kathmandu, Nepal.

  • Thanks for your service, sacrifice and representation. A salute from one soldier to another. take care and be safe my brothers.

  • Ayo Gorkhali!

I had the honour to be invited for a meal with the Gurkha engineers in Port Stanley July 1982. They are without doubt the worlds best and most loyal soldiers and true friends. We should honour all of them as heroes. They and their families should be afforded exactly the same rights and privilages as our own servicemen and women.

  • Ayo Gorkhakli ..>!!!
