I made this for my son, who was born a few days before John Denver died. (JD was my friend.) I moved to Alaska in 2003. I never thought I would like it here, but once you come and survive a Winter, you realize that there is no other place like it anywhere. I hadn't seen my son in 6 years, so I made this for him to show him what all had been happening with me during that time. Kite flying by ME.

One of my favorite JD songs. I lived in Alaska for two years, it is one of the most MAGICAL places on earth. I miss it and hope to go back some day. I have lived in Colorado since 1990 and love it, but it isn't Alaska! Thank you for posting this.
