Master Replicas Enterprise Studio Scale Model.

Sorry JJ Abrams, this is and will forever be the TRUE USS Enterprise. A timeless design that needs no updating.

"I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky. And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by." from "Sea-Fever" By John Masefield (1878-1967).

Read about Matt Jeffries, the designer of the original Enterprise!, much thought went into it, that makes sense because both Jeffries and Roddenberry were pilots.

  • Where did you gets this and how much did it cost you, i wanna pick this up for my self.

  • @FNTrueWrestling

Master Replicas is out of business, so I recommend watching Ebay over time and wait for a deal.

A model kit from another company in this same scale is coming next year from a company called Polar Lights, if you want to build your own.

  • How come your master replicas enterprise doesn't have the annoyingly added extra lines underneath the saucer section? I've noticed that some or most of the master replicas have them... even though the original studio shooting model did not. I think they might have decided to give the ship more detail after looking at what the guys did to the original 11 foot shooting model for the last Smithsonian refurbishing. They don't look very flattering to me. It makes the underside of the saucer cluttered

  • @WickIDwarrior

I have grid lines on the bottom saucer of mine as well. They are somewhat faint though. Not drawn heavy handed like others are. Mine is also an "artists proof". Which may mean something or not. They gridlines did exist on the bottom of the studio model during shooting of the series. There are some studio black and white photos they show them very faint on the bottom compared to the top. And of course even the ones on top were pretty much invisable on TV.

  • Have you had any problems with the fans slowing down or being noisy, I heard that a few had these problems?

    Cheers.

  • Fans runs fine so far.

However there was some kind of oil like substance that leaked on the inside of one dome. When the lights are on it cannot be seen though. But dissappointing. It' seems to be a common problem.

  • fuck me i wish i was born in an era with such things being the norm :-/

  • There are certen mathmatics that all good asthetic design follows, such as the golden ratio of 1:1.61803399. The Original, the refit and E all follow these "rules", thats why they look so good on screen. Unfortunatly Ryan Church aparantly does not know about these things and thats why the "new" Enterprise looks so blody awfull, its all out of proportion. If I was Abrams I would have kept the clasic lines and just added details that was just not possable in the 60's.

  • You are soo right....This is the Enterprise! NCC 1701 (and no bloody A, B, C or D) ...or that abdomination in the most recent film

  • This is the Enterprise I would have had in the most recent movie! I would not have changed a thing! it would have been completely true to the original design both inside and out! I would have also set it in the original continuity, I wanted a good clean origin story that showed the genesis of the great ships journey exploring space!

  • hopefully the music dosen't play the whole time its on

  • So...how much was it? Great video, the soundtrack made it epic!

  • @CessnaDriver2 Probably just some sort of mechanical lubricant used to keep the fans running smoothly

  • Great video brother. Such a beautiful representation of a classic vessel. That show & ship got me through some tough times as a 6 year old. Thanks for posting.

  • it hard to belive they our working fast then light rocket system now at nasa

  • @WickIDwarrior I wonder why so many parts of the beutiful TOS enterprise reminds me of a 57 chevy... (my favorite car by the way) I hope that in the fututre we get more star trek with beutifull ships like the original enetrprise i like most enterprise ships but the new ships could just look better
