@nawalwatani sometimes that's all you have .. that's where it comes from.

@Feverdream777 Religion gives humans the thought pattern that they are more worthy of life than other animals - that they are "different". Hence, we do not permit the loss of life that must occur from starvation that other animals must experience in order for the balance of the ecosystem to continue to occur. Because we buy the idea that "all humans must be fed and continue to stay alive" we have disrupted the balance of life. Where else does this philosophy come from?

this is my favorite song at the moment :D

@gorgeoustxwoman that is the WRONG interpretation of these lyrics. This song is about someone going off the rails (drugs, alc etc) then showing up and becoming a "good person". e.g someone gets drunk and kills someone in a car crash and then becomes an non-drinker. Maynard is just saying, "watch out that your Halo doesn't choke you!..... thumbs up to make this LEGIT!

wow this video is completely off the mark as far as the meaning of the song goes.....

@christiannandres Such theories are constructed from elementary theorems that consist in EMPIRICAL DATA about OBSERVABLE PHENOMENA. A scientific theory is used as a plausible general principle or body of principles offered to explain a phenomenon.... So how about that huh?
-
@christiannandres In scientific usage, the term "theory" is reserved for explanations of phenomena which meet basic requirements about the kinds of EMPIRICAL OBSERVATIONS made, the methods of classification used, and the consistency of the theory in its application among members of the class to which it pertains. These requirements vary across different scientific fields of knowledge, but in general theories are expected to be functional and parsimonious.

@christiannandres I find your response very funny, cause it could only mean 2 things....1) You've made an honest mistake or 2) You quote mine for you are so desperate to cling to your beliefs, which proves once again that creationists are willing to lie for their beliefs...Because in the same wiki page where you got your definition of theory, the definition of scientific theories(which is obviously what evolution is) is given...*continued*

Bravo. Well Done.

When a religion claims to be the only truth, it is based only on lies.

Depressions, recessions, suffering and hunger ARE NOT the fault of religion or lack of religion.
They are the fault of life and having to eat, breathe and survive in competition with near insurmountable factors that make it painfuly obvious that LIFE MUST CONSUME LIFE TO PERSIST.
