  • It's the best sounding band I heard live (followed by TOOL), the mix, the volume, quality and of corse the musicians are on the top. High-end live experience, just perfect.

  • They're astounding!

  • I know what they mean, especially when i chuck my in-ear monitors into my record player amp, listening to In absentia and the sound is absolutely astonishing compared to my mp3 player.

  • @ARTbastART Totally worth the money man! its simply a beautiful and emotional journey of music

  • @dimebag975 GRACE FOR DROWNING is the best of SW career made with heart and soul ...just ordered the special edition from london cant wait to hold it in my hands

  • GRACE FOR DROWNING... 5.1... Best album ive ever heard... hands down.. i cant stop listening to it

  • @bassplayer137 and the problem with 5.1 is that not all people can have that kind of equipment. I dare to say only a few do.

  • @bassplayer137 it pretty much depends of what kind of mp3 you're talking about. I usually listen to music using 320kbps mp3 files (when possible) with 2 speakers (bought a few years ago) connected to my laptop. Sounds pretty good, considering it was the first "sound system" i owned.

5.1 does greatly improve the experience but it doesn't really change you're perception of music nor does it make an average album a good one.

  • @supun Try his SACD of UP :) You'll be immersed in sound with a quit unique musical experience. His music always lend perfectly for surround. I guess Steven did notice this too…

  • could Grace for Drowning be that "right album"?

  • Porcupine Tree really knows how to treat their sounds correctly. You can hear it on their CDs. I love that level of pristine sound you get when listening to a Porcupine Tree record (like The Incident or In Abstentia). Only a small handful of artists give me that same feeling, Tool and Nine Inch Nails being among them.
