a chance to be normal? Hmm I have a bilateral cleft and I am normal. I hate the word normal..what is normal? No one is normal nor perfect..everyone has some type of flaw. Everyone has a chance to be average.:)

May God bless the people who help these people and may God bless the people who's lives have been changed because of these wonderful people.

I feel such anguish knowing so many children must be turned away and so helpless since I am unable to help with money since my own family is poor. I think it would be so awesome if this could be expanded into a full-time training system for new doctors with supplies donated from various companies around the world and other necessary monies so that all of these children can have their clefts repaired. The anguish I feel is so overwhelming, but happiness is seeing the kids after surgery.

Godbless you people for helping these children :)

I hope they know, even though they have that, that they are still beautiful and special. And I hope that later, when they grow old, that they won't be afraid to show there face cause there is simply nothing ugly about the way they look ore the way we look.

I just started training as a surgical technologist, saw my first total knee replacement and I thought that was cool! As soon as Im certified I know what Im doing with my vacation time! Operation Smile!
I'm a cleft palate at 35, and after seeing this video, I realize how lucky I've been all these years. I lead a normal life, I have lots of friends and I've certainly run into some good opportunities. These children deserve a chance for a better life.
Keep it up, Operation Smile :)
