@PUREMUSIX1 Michael Brecker is playing sax in the same place and Luther and Gwen. Every bit as soulful, just a different voice.

Thanks to Patti Austin, the vocal contractor on this album. This was the first time I heard Luther Vandross and Gwen Guthrie sing solos, and for me one their best vocal performances. This was after years of reading their names as background vocalist.

Wow, every time I hear that tenor solo, it kills me... I'm talkin' about that little "reed bite squeal" near the very end. Needless to say there are thousands of more technically proficient Michael Brecker tenor solos (he was the king, fer sherrr) but that little squeal does if for me every time. Besides Mr. Gadd totally switching up the flavor of the song near the end by pushing into a two-step. "Q" also hires the abosolute best, always has. Bless you "Q", and Michael, you too!
