People I love to say this to you all,but leaving it up to your imagination will not be better than Ridley Scott's imagination put on the big screen. Dip shits.

Icant w8 for Prometheus, Hollywood movies hav been quite standard poor even lately. Judging by the tralier this looks like a very solid production. And I hav faith in Ridley hes a great director, one of the last next to Spielberg, who really know how to make a proper film. I hope they'll b a sequel too, but as long as they dont carry it on to link to Alien1, cus its not needed. They shud just go in another direction now once Prometheus is out.

Great video man! I totally agree!

And predators used aliens too not just space jockeys so that's even more to chew over if fox wants a jockey pred movie
-
Avp kicked ass so did the comics and books it explained alot to me. Firstly humans needed alien technology to fight other aliens etc

Showing the space jockey and Alien origin would ruin the franchise (not as much as Resurrection and AvP 1,2) But Ridley Scott doesn't make those mistakes.
Alien 3 was good, Ridley Scot wanted Ripley dead in Alien anyway. Its a shame they cast Elizabeth Winstead in The Thing. They should have used her in a story between Alien and Aliens as Ripleys daughter Becoming a Space aviation officer on a quest for answers as to her mother and the Nostromo is.

In the bonus materials of the special edition Alien DVD, director Ridley Scott has expressed the opinion that a film exploring the backstory of the Space Jockey would be an interesting new direction for the series to take.

Ripley Ripley Ripley Ripley Ripley Ripley Ripley.
I want an alien movie with a conclusion for ripley.

Whales have sex in the same way other mammals do. Sort of. The basic anatomy is the same except that the penis is rectractile; held inside the body until needed, then it emerges from the genital slit which is on the underside of the caudal peduncle Likewise, the testes are internal, which of course presents some huge problems in terms of cooling, and cetaceans have developed some remarkable counter-current mechanisms for cooling the genitals internally.

Space-jockeys created the aliens as weapons and they turned against them. Because aliens steal some DNA from their hosts, they resembled the jockeys a bit. The only thing that can hurt them apart from projectiles is obviously a fire (Prometheus?). BTW I also heard that the jockeys race was very arrogant and played gods. But we will see what the truth is in the movie. Can't wait!!!
I've heard Scott say the film will be 'gritty and tough...' and also read the studio (20th Fox is it) wants a PG-13 rating(US). I saw something talking about the film's exploration of origins of races of beings, creatures, and also of planets too. Looks like Scott is going to make another 'big' statement, as in Bladerunner or the original Alien. That would be cool. I don't need to see an 'alien'. Of course, I count 2001:A Space Odyssey as a horror film, due to the topics it covers. Good on Scott

@23penguins32 I totally agree about 2001! There are also some very creepy scenes in 2010. They are filming both a PG-13 cut and an R-rated cut, so we'll just have to wait and see mate.

I'm slightly jaded on Prometheus. I have the sneaking feeling that we WILL see answers to stuff that was once a mystery, spoiling the mysticism and some of the charm of the original film where we know NOTHING about the Space Jockey because it's better that way.
Like you say It's better to WANT to know, than to actually know. a sense of mystery is always the way to work with movies
Congrats on the 100 vids! Here's to 100 more, and here's to 200 more subscribers! :D

@Angerlevel Thanks for your support, it means a lot :) I agree that if they do anything which infers upon the original film, I'll be really disappointed. The mystery surrounding the Alien is everything!

I think you make an excellent point in that it should leave us with more questions, something I really think it will try to do (from what I've read about it so far). Just the title, 'Prometheus', seems to imply that it could bring up a lot of questions regarding science vs. god, playing god, etc.
With Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson all set to star in it, this is probably the film I'm anticipating the most right now.

@FILMishist I am looking forward to see what they do, but I am nervous they may truly break one of my favourite franchises.
