Ch. 43

Last chapter everyone was saved. Kaitlyn and Nick had to get stitches on their wrists. Kaitlyn left.

REMEMBER: Kaitlyn and Nick loved each other...a lot. At Kaitlyn public school, you are aloud to be on your cell phone during lunch.

THREE WEEKS LATER

Kaitlyn is sitting at lunch. She started at public school again. She is basically alone. Katie had stayed with JB.

Kaitlyn--*looking at her cell phone* Nick called again. Why cant he just understand I dont want to talk to him!

Lucy walks up[[A.N.—Lucy was from a chapter a long time ago]]. She sits down across the table from Kaitlyn.

Lucy--*unsure* I can sit here, right Kaitlyn?

Kaitlyn--*surprised* Sure.

They sit in awkward silence for a little bit. Kaitlyn is very surprised that Lucy is sitting with her. Kaitlyn had been very anti-social ever since she came back. Everyone just gave up talking to her eventually.

Lucy-Kaitlyn? Are you okay? You seemsad.

Kaitlyn—No Im not really okay.

Kaitlyn couldnt talk about it anymore, it hurt too much. She gets up and walks away. The day goes by slowly. Kaitlyn didnt really keep track of time anymore. She just let days go by. At the end of the day Elliot picks her up and they drive home in silence. They get home and walk into the house. Kaitlyn walks into her room. The walls are absolutely bare. She had taken down all of her posters. Her mom wouldnt let her throw them out though. Kaitlyn drops her backpack on the floor and lays down on the bed and lets her sadness take over. Then her phone starts ringing. She looks at her phone.

Kaitlyn—Nick again. *presses ignore. Then gets a text.* I can text on this thing? Of course its from Nick*reading the text out loud* Please answer my call. I just need to talk to you once.*Her phone rings again* Ugh. Fine. *Answers* Hello?

Nick—Kaitlyn? You actually answered.

Kaitlyn—Yeah.
Her heart basically shattered when she heard his voice. She still loved him. She knew it, but she loved it too much to go back. She didnt want to put him in trouble again.

Nick—Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn—What?

Nick—I want you to come back.

Kaitlyn—I cant do it. I dont want to get you in trouble anymore.

Nick—But Kaitlyn! I cant live without you! *he sounds like hes crying* Please! Come back!

Kaitlyn--*starts crying* Nick. I cant. Bye.

Nick—WAIT!

Kaitlyn hangs up.

WITH NICK:
STARTING AFTER THE PHONE CALL

Nick is sitting in the tour bus on his bed. He is just looking at his phone. Kevin walks in.

Kevin—Dont tell me, you tried to call her again.

Nick—Yep.

Kevin—Did she answer?

Nick—Yes.

Kevin--*surprised* Really? What did she say?

Nick—She said no. She said she didnt want to get me in trouble anymore. She said she couldnt come back. And hen she hung up on me.

Kevin-Oh. Im sorry man.

Nick—Kevin. I want to go home.

Kevin—Well were going to New Jersey next. Then well be ho—*interrupted by Nick*

Nick—No. Thats not what I mean. My home is where my heart is. And when Kaitlyn left, she took my heart with her.

Kevin—Oh. So what youre saying is.

Nick—I want to go homeI want to go to Kaitlyn.

Nick puts his head in his hands.

Nick—I cant live with out her.

Nick lifts up his hand and looks at the scar on his wrist that Sam gave him such a long time ago. He strokes the scar. The identical one to Kaitlyns. Then he breaks down. He starts crying like crazy.

Kevin—Im sorry to say this Nick. But I dont think shes coming back.

Nick--*controls himself* I dont know.

He gets up.

Nick—Im leaving for a little bit. Ill be back by the show tonight.

Nick walks out the tour bus door and walks down the street.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN??????? WILL KAITLYN DECIDE TO COME BACK????????? WHERE IS NICK GOING????????????? WILL HE BE OKAY??????????? FIND OUT IN THE NEXT CHAPTER OFDONT WANNA BE JUST FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
