yes under the keyboard is a membrane which will hold the liquid away from the components inside the laptop but is only designed for small short term usage and so save data straight away and shutdown computer
(reply cont.) you don't really need to send it back to toshiba unless you have critical data on the computer that shouldn't be lost (and should be backed up anyway) if you do spill liquid on the keyboard save and shutdown immediately tilt the keyboard to drain the liquid and then get a cotton wool bud and carefully work it around all the keys if needed moisten a cotton bud in water and a bit of soap(only for sugary drinks really)so long as the spill was small the computer should be ok
well... im not gonna do this on my tecra XD
