@ducklamb1 I got rid of tv over two years ago. I now understand the world we live in far more than I could of ever dreamed through the web. friends and family think that I am the crazy one for not wanting a tv. wish they would get it and wake up sigh!!

They are trying to hold back our emotions, so we can be more "civilised" - this is instituted through television, as we are constantly flooded with emotional images, our minds become desensitised to our instinctual emotions. Also, when it comes to language, the language used on television has become incredibly restricted, as people read less, thier minds become restricted, because they do not have enough words to express thier true feelings, and thier imaginations are stifled by thier teens.
