Old Business:
1. Downtown Revitalization Project
a) Change Order No. 7 for increase of $11,512.04
b) Pay Estimate No. 9 for All American Concrete, in the amount of $103,883.58.
2. Discussion of FEMA mapping
a) Presentation by Iowa Flood Center's Dr. Larry Weber regarding the IFC's recommendation to FEMA for a model (using 1987 regression equations rather than 2001) more appropriate for the size of the drainage area of the West Ditch; the IFC's modeling for the West Ditch uses Highway 1 as the western most limit, leaving it to FEMA to combine the Ramsey Creek drainage with the West Ditch drainage west of Highway 1 which will affect the zone (A or X) status of Harvest Hill subdivision. b) Administrator Schlabaugh presented a series of 4 "phases" regarding approximate financial impacts of the series of 4 floodplain mappings (3 accepted already by FEMA and the 1 new proposed by IFC) on Kalona residents in "Zone A" as it has evolved.
