  • Thanks for all the comments. I really miss this tank. I had to take it down to running out of room and my wife really wanted to have a dining area....

I ended up selling the female midas to a guy who bread her with another midas.. much larger.

  • I'm not sure but I think its cause my Midas is a female and that the Convicts are really fast. I put in 6 convicts at two separate times and non were killed off. When I put Giant Danios in the tank they eventually all get knocked off one by one

  • nice tilapia

  • ive nver herd that b4, i bught a red devil when it had stripes then it turned kinda black & orange, then it turned white & orange, but it died a while back,

but ihave another red devil but when i ot it it was already orange

  • Blue devils are basically Red Devils - if you buy a Red Devil baby while it still has stripes and feed it the right food- Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold and use Tetra Cichlid Vital in the water and keep your PH balance right (use Stress Coast regularly) most of them will never turn yellow. Ive done it at least four times and it worked everytime. They cant be already turning black, Stop them from turning black which I read was a fungus anyway an u have a blue devil.

  • wtf is a blue devil ?

and red devils only have stripes as babies

no matter wat they will turn orange or yellow or watever colors they come in

  • Nice tank ,I like it alot.

  • what color is your mayan?

  • Nice arrangement. Its time to start over with your cichlids though. I always start over once they reach about 6 inches or so, its no fun after that. They are the most fun at about 4 inches and I always buy my red devils last so that they are at a disadvantage at first since they catch up so fast. Is that a blue devil chasing the texas? YOu know if you buy baby red devils before they turn yellow and feed them cichlid gold and use cichlid vital they will never turn.

  • Why aren't your big fish eating the small ones?
