Lionel 6-18005 1990 NYC Hudson #5340 - kgtrains
This 1990 engine is a remake of the famous 700e that Lionel produced in the late 30s. Lionel is releasing an updated version with Legacy, however I like this version because its simple conventional control and pin and chain tender attachment reminds me of the classic version.
this engine is conventional control with a early version of railsounds.

@james1234434 this was the eraly modern era of lionels railsounds to me its a mix of lionel mpc era there Mighty Sound of Steam and eraly railsound put together its realy all not that bad i like it that 5340 hudson 700e engine there is a very well built engine that lionel made and it was the last 700e hudson to made here in the usa

@james1234434 It sounds fake because it is not digital sound recording like you find in today's Protosound or Railsound systems. This unit is 22 years old and actually the electronics in it are probably several years older. What you are hearing is the "Mighty Sound of Steam" which was a very early attempt at a sound system. It's basically a static generator that gets interrupted so it sort-of sounds like steam chuffing. Hey- it was almost 30 years ago!!!
