Follow these easy steps to start your cruiser with ease on the coldest of days, make sure you run synthetic or a winter weight oil, and make sure you have good quality batteries - watch and see!

  • Land Cruiser FTW

  • @kabodkhwaamkhid lol, right on!

  • Most cruiser diesel engines have both glow plugs and "toaster" MEGA glow plug in the air intake manifold, thats why they never let you down...... my old 3B engine starts just as good every time..... old crappy engine, but it starts..... i have now bought a 15B-FT engine to swap it for, that engine is just as good i am told, due to the direct injection system ........ but that engine also have the MEGA "toaster" in the air intake manifold ... but no plugs ( as i remember ;-/ )

  • @bdmdos you are talking about the glow screen in the intake, mine doesn't have that, only has glow plugs, the 3b has glow plugs, 13BT glow screen etc etc, they all start great!

  • why doesnt your diesel freeze?

  • my crapy bmw 325 starts on 37degrees ones :D but sound was terrible 1st 20seconds

  • @sum151 its a 70 series cruiser sold all over the world except the states and canada, factory diesels ranging from n/a 2.4, 3.0 and 4.2 litre turbo and 4.5 litre gas...this guy probably had it imported to canada

  • Nice wheels. :)

  • That's y I bought a cruiser never fails

  • and a good ol criuser

  • heater in intake manifold is call grid heater, usuly that cummins garbage engines have it.i drove couple of them.

  • what model cruiser is that? did it come from the factory with the diesel engine? i have never seen one like it, but there are not so many diesel options here in the u.s.

maybe i will have to make a trip to canada and bring one of these back to maine. i really like your truck.

  • @lshobie diesel for cold climates has additives in it to stop it freezing. If you take diesel from a warm climate into a cold climate, the parafin in it can set to a thick gel, so essentially it freezes.
