  • How many times can you use the foam mold?

  • @KarasCyborg

It depends on a few things including the shape and a draft angle for releasing easily from the concrete. Generally speaking the more careful you are the longer they last.

With raw foam usually you can get 5 casts or so. With epoxy coated foam you could get 15 or more. Small breaks in the epoxy can be patched with more epoxy to extend longevity as well.

  • what is that epoxy coat called? Brand or any specifics? and for the release agent too, brand/type?

We used our Styropoxy which comes in 15 or 60 min working time - both are "high build". There's a 45 min "very high build" that goes on like peanut butter and is very sand-able.

Some use our standard Styropoxy and auto body filler over it and sand it for a glassy surface. The "very high build" 45 min version eliminates the 2 steps of using one coat to protect the foam, and another to create a nice finish.

The release is a spray on crete lease that we carry.

    Hope that helps.
