Well, the whole idea of prog rock is that is progressive, so although bands like ELP, Genesis and Yes made up prog rock in earlier decades, prog rock is still alive in songs like this. It is defined by things like complex musical structures, (not necessarily classical influence), musical sections, instrument layering, and use of synthetic instruments. If you listen to a Progressive Rock station (like on Pandora or Slacker radio), you'll hear a lot of stuff like this and Genesis and ELP alike.

Plenty. Progressive rock is rock that takes after European influences. Stuff like Gentle Giant, ELP, Genesis, etc, stuff with classical influence. This is more bluesy and American. Not really prog. I'm not bashing it; I love this song. All I'm saying is that it really sounds nothing like prog.
