  • lol, and when you jetteson the rocket after TLI? How do you get that back? Free return trajectory?

  • so inovative!!!!

    (NOT)

  • LOL i kinda agree with you. You made point there.

  • Using that logic is like saying we cannot rely an Honda cars. They are low cost, safe and reliable and run on gas. We need a giant truck that runs on coal so we can evolve. Soyuz, and Titan II from 1960 is more advanced than a solid rocket engine. We have been going backwards in Rocket design. Ares I is rocket rocket the size of Saturn V and all it does it take 5 astronauts to Low orbit.

  • Falcon 9?? Never heard of it...

By the way Ares is better in my opinion because it uses newer and advanced technology. The US cannot depend on old style rockets forever. Technology needs to evolve.

  • Why spend the money on Ares 1 when we have Falcon 9 ? Falcon 9 is far safer, cost a lot less, and almost ready to go. Keep Ares 5 but replace Ares 1 with Falcon 9.
