Minnesota Tibetans: Candle light vigil to commemorate the International Human Rights day.

Speech by Jigme Ugen of RTYC.

This year will mark the 61st Human Rights Day since the inception of Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The abuse of human rights in Tibet - 60 years now.

It is highly regrettable and condemnable that the People's Republic of China (PRC), despite being a permanent member of the United Nations and a state party to UN treaties on human rights, fails to respect and uphold the basic principles set forth in the UDHR and that the most blatant forms of violations are regularly occurring in the region with impunity. Chinese authorities continue to practice a systematic denial of human rights of the Tibetan people. BHOD GYALO. FREE TIBET.

Event jointly organized by TAFM, RTWA, SFT and RTYC
