Jackal (NES) speed run - Beaten in under 10 minutes

Here's a cool video of NES Jackal beaten in just under 10 minutes. I hold the Twin Galaxies World Record for NES Jackal Fastest Completion and figured I'd post a video of around the same time but this one has me dying a few times. Maybe someday I'll make a no death run vid and at the same time beat my old record when I have more free time =) This is NOT a Tool assisted vid, it was done on an old NES with a regular controller.

@QuickSciFi I don't have turbo - it's the original controller that was packaged with the NES.

My first all nighter came from this game. Sleeping over at my friends, we set up a tv and my nes in his tree house and we went until it was completed! Greatest night ever for a 4th grader! I have to admit your skill at this makes our efforts look laughable though :P

I haved SDA WR 8:54 (its equal some 9:03-05 in TG rules) Also i find game easier run without taking any power ups its less lags and enemies. Though its make some things harder but game seems still easier.

Also used death trick against helicopter. Seems much easier way beat him in at one round.

@metroidmaster88 Awesome SDA Record man. I've been meaning to revisit the game and go for a major points run after I do my new speed run in it. Hoping to cut the time down to under 9 minutes. Do you think it's possible?

this game is so badass, I remember borrowing this from a neighbor back in the 80s, I LOVE all the explosions and shit, that was like heroin to an addict to an 80s kid. Back in the days of Rambo, and GI Joe, a game like this had awesome written all over it.

DUUUUDE HAHAHA I can't you passed it so fast! My cousing and I suffered so much because of this game, it was one of our nightmares, right up there with battletoads and ninja turtles 1. And when he finally got to the last boss, shit man... it was a nail biting experience. We lost and had to start over the whole fucking game lol. Co-op is what makes this games badass. They should do a remake with better graphics. Like zombie apocalypse graphics you know, nothing to fancy but good looking.
