Filmkomponist Basil Poledouris (1945-2006) steuerte den Score zu Paul Verhoevens 80er-Jahre-Action-Meilenstein "RoboCop" bei - ein düster-tragisches und treibendes Orchesterwerk - und eine von Poledouris bekanntesten Arbeiten. Das Titelthema des tragischen Helden RoboCop (u.a. in Track 04) hat einen vergleichbaren Wiedererkennungscharakter wie jenes von James Bond oder Indiana Jones.
Für den provokativen Regisseur Verhoeven arbeitete Poledouris zuvor schon an „Flesh & Blood" (1985) und später an „Starship Troopers" (1997).
Für den dritten Teil der kontinuierlich nachlassenden Kino-Reihe „RoboCop" schrieb er auch wieder die Musik - das Beste am ganzen Film...

This track is one of my favorites,and the scenes are still the best,and on 2:56 the best heroic scene with one hell of a crescendo, 5 stars, for this 80's classic by Basil Poledouris RIP my friend, your music and legacy will always live on.
