This is a 1987 Olds Cutlass Supreme with a 350 H.O SBC linked to a rebuilt 200R4. The engine is brand new from Chevy. It is still in the break in period. This is just a quick start up, and stall from it. It stalls because we have no throttle linkage hooked up, its running Hooker ceramic coated headers.

  • did you keep the original olds trans?

  • @jayzkissnazass Yes, it is the 200R4, rebuilt with a lot stronger internals. Shop said it could withstand up to 500HP worth, but we are probably only pushing 330, maybe 340.

  • Have you thought about putting a toyota avalon motor in there. Its got good power, gets good mileage and heard you can run it with no oil for many miles.

  • @Mellizano no i was asking a question. so many people have said that i cant put a chevy 350 in my cutlass i was asking if that was some bull based off what you are saying.

  • @dynomitetucker What are you talking about? A Chevy motor wont go in an Olds motor mount. I don't get what your saying? Manifolds? There are none it's straight headers, had no problem with clearance issues.

  • @Mellizano so what you are saying is all that about gotta change motor mount to do a chevy 350 is crap if you take the time to find the rt hole and what about manifolds

  • wht kind of headers

  • @ljblue2009 Same frame mounts, and same (new) motor mounts. This is a 1 belt serpentine. But if you line it up with the front holes it should clear no problem.

  • @Mellizano so did you used the your 1987 cutlass supreme motor mount and frame mount or chevy (if chevy what year) then you line the hole up to the front what year two pice serpentine bracket you used becouse when i try to put in my motor my one pice serpentine bracket it hit my gear box

  • @ljblue2009 The stock motor mounts should have an array of holes. They are for the V6, and Chevy, Pontiac, and Olds V8 (302, 305, 307) We used the holes closest to the front end of the car and had no clearance issues. We used the same fan shroud, but had to get a reversed fan from a Chevy Astro.

  • good job on the cutlass i have a 1988 t top one like your can you tell me what kind of motor mount and frame mount you used becouse i have a chevy vortect 350 and i can't geet it to line up for nonthing and is it bolt in becouse everybody won't me to weld it in and i do not won't to so can you please help me thank if so what bolt hold did you used to line it up trying to finish before it get cold
