The Arowana or Silver Arowana is a long fish with lithe fluid swimming motion that makes it seems almost snakelike. It has large opalescent scales that reflect blue, red, and green highlights as the fish grows older. The mouth is at the top of the body and opens in three pieces.

"The Arowana gives us a view of our ancient prehistoric world, the world during the Jurassic age. The Arowana is one of only a few living examples of this group."

  • I've had my silver arrowana for about 2 years. It lost it's right eyes because it jumped out of the tank one day as I was cleaning the tank. It's now about 26 inches long. :)

  • i love these fish there so beutiful

  • Um.....Ur arowana looks pretty bad....

Got very bad drop eyes and By the way the tank is too small for that damn huge arowana! Go buy a tank like 250gallon or 400gallon! Not in a 125 gallon tank.....

  • dont be scared of drop eye. just do ya research. tetras have stuff all fat and are geat feeder fish. just a little smaller and less fun to watch getting gobbled.

  • about $28.88 for a baby (at my local petlad discount) i feed my twice a day,it depends on how u'll raising it and it grows fast not slow

  • it looks kinda like the prehistoric shark they found in japan

  • is'nt drop eye because of the reflection of the light? cuss i have 2 arowana's and one has no drop eye and i feed both same food
