The action-packed, star-studded 14th Century Italian adventure of duels and feuds VIRGIN TERRITORY is released to own on DVD on 18 August from Momentum Pictures.
An all-star cast of today's hottest box office players includes Hayden Christensen (Jumper, Star Wars), Mischa Barton (The O.C.), Tim Roth (The Incredible Hulk, Pulp Fiction), Matthew Rhys (The Edge of Love), Rupert Friend (Pride & Prejudice) and a hilarious cameo from David Walliams (Little Britain). Other stars of the film feature on the cutting edge soundtrack in the form of Blur, Wolfman and the Side Effects (featuring Pete Doherty), Martina Topley-Bird, Groove Armada, The Kills and Basement Jaxx (featuring Dizzee Rascal) who add a contemporary twist to the period setting and drive the action along at heart-racing speed.
The film from super-producer Dino De Laurentiis (Hannibal, Serpico) and director David Leland (Made in Britain, Band of Brothers) is inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron and has high-production values with stunning costume designs from Roberto Cavalli (who is also a producer). The stunt co-ordinator was behind the action in Batman Begins, Sahara, Terminator 3 and even The Mighty Boosh.
After The Battle A New Hope Begins
14th century Italy and a beautiful princess (Barton) in left penniless and alone after her wealthy parents perish during an outbreak of plague. Seizing on this opportunity the evil Gerbino de la Ratta (Roth) pressures her to marry him as an escape from financial ruin. The fate of the Princess now rests with a mysterious stranger, Lorenzo (Christensen), a travelling rogue who swears to win her affection and overthrow his long-time nemesis, the brutal de la Ratta.
