A song about westernization in Japan both pre and post WW2, as well as a conservative remark for a need to go back to the old regimes? I'm probably reading into it too much.

Anyway, the original title of this song is 千本桜, a reference to 義経千本桜 (Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura), a kabuki play written in 1747.

This was my first time writing any kfx. Thanks go to lygerzero0zero for helping me with lua (and also running a TLC), and yepperoni for hardsubbing it. Yes, I know, the petals/flowers sometimes go onto the video, but does this face look like it cares? No. Speaking of kfx, download the effect/script for the video here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/86lyw2

The original song is by 黒うさP. You may know him from Cantarella. The link to the video on NND is http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15630734 Everything in this video, besides the subtitles, belongs to the owners listed there, so credit them accordingly.

0:39 - "hi no marujirushi" this literally means "white flag with a red circle", but it's frequently used to refer to Japanese flags; however, you'll note at the end at 3:52 that Miku holds a flag that qualifies as a "hi no marujirushi".
0:42 - ICBM stands for Intercontinental ballistic missile. KurousaP pointed this out in the NND video, so I figured i would as well.
0:53 - "ukiyo no manima ni" Mistrans, I didn't know what the phrase meant. Should be "Going with the flow" or something similar. Thanks to kagoshimakai for the trans!
1:46 - The kanji on Miku's back is 壱, which is just "1". I imagine it's some symbolism for solidarity.
You'll notice that (if you read japanese) kana and hira are interchanged. That was a practice that was frequently used pre-WW2.

Westernization refers to the Americas AND Europe. Not just the United States.

Canada is classified as Western influence.

During World War II, much of the western influences on Japan were coming from European countries, not the US.

Canada has its fair share of bullshit too.

    Lots of love from,

    America

I'm not insulting Canada. Canada has nothing to do with this, you brought it into this. Westernication involves EVERY Euro or American (that's right, North/South America both) nation.

    Canada is a WESTERN country.

    Canada follows WESTERN culture.

You're not insulting me, you're just making yourself look stupid.

Yes but after WWII even though it was the "allied nations" who occupied Japan and caused most of the preliminary and most influential westernization it was manly US forces who occupied Japan and a very limited number of other nation's troops, and also it is why the US is the general antagonist, the commonwealth(Canada) even though in it, didn't have such of an influence especially on the dark side of the post-war situation, read their history and you'll know why the US is so looked down upon.

If you don't want to insult anyone...then don't. .__. I don't want to get involved in this whole...Canada and America matter, but this is starting to make everything depressing. It doesn't matter where someone hails from were all human in the end. To be repulsed at the fact you share the same race as someone, even though they're from a different country, is quiet mean. Even if were American and you happen to dislike American's please don't link that hatred to every human in America.
