You're forgetting that Nina Simone praised Janis as a great artist. Both of them have different musical styles, and Diana Krall as well. Janis-more rock and soul, Nina-blues, jazz, r&b, gospel while Diana being all jazz with a very contralto like (rare) voice.

FYI little known fact- Little girl blue was written for the elephant "girl blue" in the film Jumbo. Diane kinda reminds me of Elvis. I do like her keyboard sounds.
