I have listened to this song for years and can still get caught off guard by the sheer poetic beauty of it, and it brngs tears flooding into my eyes. It is such a heart wrenching beautiful thing, it is hard to imagine a human being able to concieve it.....
.This is my channel I made a while ago! But haha unfortunately I've forgotten the password,
SO you can re-direct to this current account, and I will upload some more Mindy Stuff, and will regularly be updated!
I also have a video of me singing my original song - so come and check it out, and I will be covering great country songs including Mindy's wonderful songs!.
One of Mindy's least known but most beautiful songs, touching line "The blood is dry, the wounds I hide, the scars are settling in, so I keep the light low, but they still show, I sit and count every stitch" opens the reflective thoughts of past hurts, and the need to accept, and then let go....she was surely in a painful place when she wrote this, and then it becomes this wonderful meditation...like so much of Mindy's work, so personal and beautifully handled by her. A little known treasure.
