Driving along the roads in Ethiopia, you will always know when a market is being held nearby, by masses of people walking, all heading in the same direction.

We were on our way to Gambela on the banks of the Baro River and once a famous commercial point with Sudan. In the late 19th century under British rule, the Baro River (a tributary of the Nile) was an excellent highway during the rainy season to transport produce and coffee to Sudan and Egypt.

  • @sfflyer123 As I think I said in one of my videos, if my adult children ever watch these videos, they may have me committed! When something is the best available, you just go with the flow. The lamb was so-so after all that.

  • Sheila, you are incredible. First to stay in that hotel. I think if I saw that hotel, I would be on the first plane back to San Francisco. I cannot believe how brave you are to stay there. That is just truly incredible and impressive, especially since I've seen you travel all over the world (and fly in Lufthansa's first class). I will say that the freshly slaughtered lamb, though, is a huge bonus. Was the lamb fresh when you tasted it? That sounds like it would be delicious. Great video!
