Hamza Yusuf is a brilliant Islamic Scholar and an extremely genuine and kind hearted person. Some Muslims do not agree with him, one reason is his lack of tribalism. He doesn't stick to sides, whether Muslims or otherwise, rather speaks the truth, as he understands it, according to Islamic Tradition. Mind you, he is qualified and has permission to give religious edicts and statements from some great Muslim scholars of this time.

Can someone please post a complete video of his speech where he refers to it as the "jewish lie". As far as I know Sheik Hamza Yusuf isn't the type to lump people together in a statement like that, unless he was referring to a term used by others in order to clarify something.

How is it we have become worse than animals?? Humans killing innocent people because it is pleasurable? The media contributes alot to that though.People have become numb to racism, and violence. You should be saying positive things or keep silent Hussein. as the Prophet SAWS said: ‘Whosoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, then let him speak good or remain silent.’

The saddest thing is moslems are not showing a good example of how Islam really is. and besides that you even find people fighting within Islam. sunni vs shia, sunni vs sufi shia vs wahabi. does it matter all that much. we are human beings and we are letting hatred rule our hearts!! The devil is sure happy that he is causing all this dissension amongst people. Seems everyone hates everyone now a days. I only dream of peace and living amongst humanity without war and fighting over religion.

@AfroCanadian89 why do you even care how habuvabu lives his life or what choices he makes. You should be focused on yourself! So because he is not moslem, he is your enemy? This is why we are so divided in Islam. why bad things are happening to us. Tests! The trials we are receiving and the unanswered prayers are due to the fact we are being tested. "There is no compulsion in religion" You should not hate someone because they are not moslem. We all have our differences.

Yeh generalizing is bad, not only from an islamic perspective but from any point of view.

I have never heard Shaykh Hamza Yusuf generalize, nor is it something muslims should promote.

But you just wait till some 'muslims' tell you how 'misguided' he is. lol us muslims have ALOT of learning to do about Islam!
