He discussed several issues of concern to broadcasters, including copyright protection of broadcast material and domestic and international piracy of content, media ownership rules and net neutrality.
The model has to change. After listening to Lawrence Lessig's talk at EDUCAUSE, it is clear to me that the craziness of our copyright infrastructure is hurting our economy.

It seems to me, the answer is in cloud computing. If netbooks are cheap enough and software as a service is robust enough, everything will be in the cloud. If everything is in the cloud, there will be many fewer monitoring points and control will be much easier. If users are able to spend less on hardware, they'll be more agreeable to partnering with content providers
