Fringe in 6 hours.
29 August 2011
A mad day outting starting at 6:00 am from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh in order to catch the last day of Fringe Festival. I saw 4 great shows at Pleasance:
- Tim and Light
A beautiful children's theatre with puppets and an action packed stage which transformed itself from Tim's house in Brighton to a mysterious mansion at the end of the train line. These puppets will truly transport you in an unexpected way thanks to the very talented puppeteers and creative use of stage and props.
- Skittles
Sketch comedy meets monologue. A truly inspiring guy who doesn't skip a beat whilst delivering the most heartfelt love story, in a mix of poetry and rapping. And yes, skittles are given away.
- Max & Ivan are Holmes and Watson
This was a real treat, especially given the comic addition of Max's injured ankle hopping up and down in a cast. I hope they come to London, this is Holmes and Watson as you've never seem before, in an almost Robert Downey Jr way.
- John-Luke Roberts & Nadia Kamil
This is pure laughter, there is no logic or beginning or end. It was quoted as an off-kilter comedy, but in lames terms, you will just laugh your socks off.
Over and out.
