This works for any system, including GB, GBA, GB color...works with red and blue, and apparently on yellow as well.

@TheIrish97 This guy is so f*cking right!!! I even made my Magikarp use Splash until the only thing it could make was Struggle! Just use potions on it, never recover it at a pokemon center and use this until lvl 15; 5 more levels and you'll have a powerful Gyarados early in the game, sheez!!!

With this same code and with different trainers, I caught about 3 Mews, Omanytes, Blastoise, Gyarados, Dragonite, Gengar, Golem, Magmar, Pinsir, Arcanine, and some others in a single game of Pokemon Red :D plus, many wild Missingnos appear :D

Start and what do ya know, It worked, so I flew back to lav town and the "Mew" appears, except what it said was "missingno." I'm looking at it now, the type of pokemon it is, is flashing between the pic of an old man and something else, I dunno what it is, but it's lvl 7 like the Mew should be, I havent battled it yet, it's weird as...

Alright, so what happened was, I went to the old dude at lav town, went to that place, turns out I fought the youngster, so I didn't want to give up just there, I decided to try and find a way, I ended up going to the gym in saffron city to battle the telekenesis chick, and in the second room where you fight the 1st person to get to her, she had a slowpoke, a slowpoke and a slowbro, I thought it was weirdly convenient that they were assosciated in the glitch... So after the fight, I pressed/
