I have a 2011 Ford edge SEL, and I also have been experiencing problems.... But they all have been fixed by my Ford Dealer.

It should be noted that Microsoft created the Sync system. That should tell you everything. Wait til you get the blue screen of death.

Thanks for sharing the video, although I assume it's more for your own personal documentation. I also have a 2011 Edge Limited AWD that is still having problems with the MFT system. I made the bad mistake of assuming that Ford would correct the MFT problems. It's sad that we have to sue, but Ford has failed to honor their warranty within a reasonable amount of time (13 months for me).

@rbrice1981 Not saying or assuming your the only one having problems. My SIL has a new Focus and her MyFord Touch is giving her fits i don't think its the car itself as much as it is a glitch in the program itself.

@rbrice1981 [continued] I'm not the only one with the problems but I'm not assuming you're suggesting otherwise. It's no secret throughout OASIS and YouTube the ubiquity of these problems. I have a friend whose parents had one (totaled in an accident) and they had intermittent problems but nothing like mine. I also have a patient who still has theirs and they go in as frequently as I did to fix theirs. I assume the problems vary.

@BuiltFordTough2011 In October of 2010, I bought my '11 Ford Edge. That was after 2 months (minimum) research. I drooled over the MyFord Touch (mft) technology, watching youtube video after video. I really wanted the car and I test drove it. The test drive was great so I signed on the dotted line, went home for two days to wait for my new Edge to get here then eventually got to pick it up. I'm very glad your car worked for you ... I would have loved if mine had worked. [continue]
And May i ask why do you have an attorney for something like this? Going to Sue Ford because you can't work the car?

@BuiltFordTough2011 You may ask, and I'll assume that you did ask. I didn't sue Ford because I couldn't work the car. To the contrary, I am gifted with consumer electronic working knowledge (early adapter). I sued Ford after several (8) failed attempts at fixing my vehicle. Lemon law only requires 4; I was more than patient. Their answers rarely varied from "We acknowledge the problem but there is no solution at this time." I'm 30 and this was my first lawsuit; I daresay it wasn't frivolous.

@rbrice1981 did you try going to Corporate before going down this road? Is this your only problem the voice commands not working?

@BuiltFordTough2011 I took the car in 4 times. On my trip back from the dealer I called Corporate. They set up meetings with me and engineers. Took it a total of 8 times and Corporate sent me a letter saying they understand the issues and that there isn't a solution at this time. After 6 mos and 8 trips (trying to run a business) I did give up and hired an atty. Voice Commands, Navigation, Phone, Radio and other problems were included; not just Voice Command.
