We're saying that when you buy meat, you're contributing to the cruelty that goes into producing it. You can refuse to be a part of this cruel industry just by making a few simple choices at the grocery store. We work on several sides of this argument, and do a lot of work in regards to human health. If you're more interesting in that kind of material, we have lots available at PETA.org.

method for trying to push your political agendas. And it also makes light of actual real abuse of animals that goes on by comparing it to eating a burger. As if people care more about a cow that they never met as compared to their pet dog or cat. Many meat eaters take very good care of their pet animals, including me. I think it is silly that I am to be labeled as an animal abuser simply because I eat what little meat I can afford. My dog eats meat to, is she an animal abuser as well?

There are over 1000 positive reasons to stop eating meat and just stick to vegetables. Health, nutrition, cost, availability, etc. but to prevent cruelty is one of the silliest reasons I have ever heard of. And I have debated this in Ethic college courses before. I think people will be more perceptive to your message if it was more about benefitting humans rather than a bunch of animals. Trying to make people feel guilty about eating meat will just backlash on you. Its a silly and ignorant-

But what about those who can choose? Should they not choose compassion just because 100% of the population might not? In many countries compassionate eating is an easy and delicious option. We can instantly stop our contribution to cruelty with a few simple choices.

trying to grow grain and soy in a dessert is pretty tough. and keep in mind milk comes from animals to. and milk and cheese not only taste good, but it has lots if vitamins that people can live off of alone. it is a way of life and a source of food in the dessert for many cultures. And animals nor humans want to live their "full" lives. We all simply want to survive, not necessarily thrive. And to do that we kill each other. Sometimes for food, other times for war.

Of course not, it's also about not wanting to die. If there was a human that was unable to feel pain, they wouldn't want to die, they would want to live a full life. Pigs, cows, chickens, they all want the same thing. To live their lives.
And we would be able to feed far more people if we stopped producing meat. It takes far more resources to raise an animal and kill that animal for meat than it does to grow grain or soy.

We communicate directly with companies whenever we can, but unfortunately many industries don't care about the ethics of their "products" until they see it on their bottom line. So the best way to get them to make significant changes is to inform the consumer.

so its about who can and cant experience pain? So if I find a human with a rare genetic disorder that causes him to not feel pain, I can eat him? and dead animals don't feel pain. so I can eat them to right? and if I kill an animal painlessly, I can eat it right? and the only resource that feeds people is food, meat being part of that product. Especially in parts of Africa where people must use livestock for survival.
