It's the Zoltar scene from Big, flipped & time scaled for the GooTube Nazis. The noisy relays, noisy mechanical mechanisms, ancient wood construction, & spooky head movement made it look an artifact from a distant past era that didn't quite belong.
Online dating is like the Zoltar fortune machine. It almost immediately put us in love. It just produced 1, when we made exactly the right wish at exactly the right time, but never again. Continues to be an extremely painful, unrequited experience. Keep banging on the system to produce a replacement. If it happened so fast, it should happen all the time. But 2 years later, there's nothing.

This was such a great movie. I really like Tom Hanks. Hey, this Zoltar fortune teller is out as an app for iPhone and iPod touch now. I just got it a few days ago and it rocks!

I could just imagine walking up to said machine after Josh had gone, pulling a quarter out of my pocket, dropping the quarter in and waiting for it to roll down to trip the master relay...
