Back in the 80s, everybody was hopping onto the anime bandwagon and opening up a studio or financing an OVA/series. Nobody cared what the premise of the anime was. They just wanted to produce something and get in on it.
As a result, we got a lot of unrestricted creative Awesome, just like this OVA.
Times have changed. Anime is little more than otaku merchandise advertising now.
Baoh is a personal favorite of mine. 45 minutes of straight up action and a cute little love angle for kicks.

I don't know either, maybe because the new audience only seek only for ecchi animes ang get used to see shows with no-creative plots like in the 80's-90's :(
