Famed News Anchor Walter Cronkite Has Died

Walter Cronkite, once called the "most trusted man in America" has died at the age of 92. The famed CBS news anchor died at his home in New York with family by his side. (July 17)

It struck me that, for those of us who were adults at the time, it never would have occurred to us to try and classify him as 'liberal' or 'conservative'. He was simply one of the finest newsmen telling us what, where, when, and how - without adding a political agenda to the news. It wasn't entertainment then; it was straight news that democratic nations require to have an informed citizenry.

Cronkite was wise and moral. I am proud to follow his example and Bill Moyers'. You who despise him have not studied the world situation and are in fact, afraid and ignorant.
