OK. I found my old Compuserve box. Plus an old (I mean DOS old) lappy. Enjoy!

This is REALLY where it's happening!

  • Does the old laptop still work?

  • @OmegaWolf747 I think the hard drive crashed. It might boot from a floppy.

  • its still better then the apple laptops! Lol

  • "I know how you feel..." Bill you crack me up!

  • Just had to resurrect a DOS machine for work (attached to some old but still working machinery) . Much 'brain exercise' needed to remember the format and structure of the old DOS commands!!!

As for CompuServe; it's doom was finally sealed when it was bought out by AOL.

  • My first computer (1987) was was called at the time an IBM XT clone. It had a monochrome (amber) monitor and a 40mb (yes megabyte) hard drive. I paid $1,300.00 for it. The funny thing is that my present computer, which has a quad processor, HD monitor and a terrabyte hard drive cost the same amount.

  • I think these belong in a museum, rather than your home! xD Also, I love the way that lots of computers still use those ports =]

  • @FenderGibsonWashburn I'll just say that although I loved the beginnings and typing out test to have it displayed somewhere else, I'm glad for what we can do today.

  • @Shaggy72 I never had one but I had a friend who did. He printed a document once that amortized my mortgage. LOL
