Oh I see, if you don't agree with a certain side of a story then the other side is just full of lies, is that it? I looked at ALL the evidence, the report, the radio tapes, even Gate's interview where he makes all kinds of crazy assertions. He said they said he had a backpack and NOWHERE did they say this, just suitcase. With what I found I believe Gates was in the wrong.

@Ripside2 I usually don't resort to personal attacks, but you IDIOT, you are wrong! The police report ONLY says Harvard ID, also the radio recording also ONLY says he had a Harvard ID. READ THE REPORT and listen to the Radio recording!

@Ripside2 Once you provide ID, but that did not happen very quickly in this case and then Gates had to run off at the mouth because the Police did their job. Glad to know someone knows to provide ID and stop talking. The officer does not know it is YOUR house till you show ID with YOUR address, not a Harvard ID. People need to stop being indignant about petty things, just be helpful and don't yell at the Police, THEN you will be on your way.

This should not be about race and it sure is not profiling. The police were called to a possible burglary in progress where the caller said one of the men might be hispanic and did not know about the other one. The police will respond no matter what color skin a burglar has. This is about not following police commands. When an officer asks you to do something, you do it, period. You are on the officers time now, you don't get to make demands until the officer knows it is safe to talk. Safety 1st
