Bud & Travis perform "(Rioting In Africa) The Merry Minuet" on the Playboy's Penthouse TV program, hosted by Hugh Hefner. Because much of B&T's patter comes directly from the live Santa Monica "In Concert" LP of March 1960, I am guessing this appearance is from 1960 or 1961.

I used to listen to this on Dr. Demento when i was a kid in the 80's. It's amazing how all the points to this song come back to alignment every 20 years or so.
Africa rioting = Arab spring
Spain = going bankrupt
Texas = currently 75% of state in "exceptional drought"
Florida = Predicted to have a rough hurricane year.
Iran = Students protesting government and rigged elections.
