Going Under (Guy/Marian)

My first video for Guy and Marian!!
Quite possibly one of my favourite couples of all time - despite how diehard Robin/Marian I am. I think it's important to be able to appreciate ships other than your OTP, and Guy/Marian is so well written and beautifully tragic that of course it appealed to me :)

Another reason I think Guy and Marian are so brilliant together is because of the intricate way Marian's relationship with Guy depends upon and leans heavily on her relationship with Robin and vice versa without ever colliding - until they do in 2x11. And I think 2x11 is one of my favourite episodes of the series as a whole.
I think that that look on Guy's face when he realises that Marian is the Nightwatchman is the most beautiful thing - Richard Armitage was fantastic.

yeah i almost could like this couple but then i remember that Guy is a complete dick who deserves to die and then i dont anymore. he cant just choose to be kind to one person and expect to find redemption in that.

I can definitely see the point you're making here.

I don't think he deserves redemption, especially as the love he expressed had an extremely possessive quality to it. But what I think is beautiful about this relationship is that Guy's humanity expands through Marian. I think that she was the thing that changed him to the point in series three where he fights alongside the gang. He begins to realise that power isn't the only thing worth living for.

Wow! That was amazing! I love how you've made it as though Guy is remembering Marian, both how much he loved her (because he did, in his own twisted, possessive, violently unstable way) and the pain of her betrayal.

And I adore the blue tinging, it works really well for the pairing and how angst ridden they were.

I agree with everyone else - make more! I'm subscribing so I don't miss them.

i hate how marian used him and lead him on ! in the last episode of season 2 she should have been smart and used him and said she would have married him if he would let the king go! she was really dumb in that episode!

I love this vid! I've always had a soft spot for Guy [it comes from watching too much North and South ;)] but I never really liked Guy/Marian. The one reason I don't like Marian is because she's always playing with Guy's affection whenever it's convenient for her... it makes me feel sorry for him.
