I've been looking for another version of the John Henry story. It might have been on a Calloipe or Pinwheel-type of show back in the 80s. I remember it was very dark, a lot of red and black colours and rather abstract, and less narration. I don't think it's on youtube, but if anyone can help me find it, that'd be awesome!

This is the most amazing version of the Tall Tale of John Henry. TheThsmdx- Tall Tales are considered part of the folktale/fairytale genre hence the unicorn. Time for you to be re-educated obviously. Thanks for posting this MissClifford11.
