I was just going to upload a simple video with pretty images so people could listen to Aaron and me sing this song, but then I ran across some touching videos and - you know me - I had to get political.
The piano music used in this video is from "Pride and Prejudice" and the vocals are me and Aaron -- though not perfect because we only practiced a couple of times before recording over and over until 3am. (I believe there are a total of 8 Jens and 4 Aarons singing.) It lacks a bit of emotion but we'll do better next time!
The clips are taken from:
• the very inspirational "The First Nations" from Wind Cave Productions http://youtu.be/N3HpvJn9FSc
• "A native american love story" http://youtu.be/FAzPzX_y96U
• "THE AMERICAN INDIAN: MISSION INFLUENCES" from Public.Resource.Org http://youtu.be/w-mgshgeRxA
• the movie "Grey Owl" which is one of my favorites and is both ironic and appropriate for the message I try to send with this video. "Grey Owl" is based on the true story of a conservationist in Canada - a man who honored the past but was ahead of his time. I highly recommend the movie to anyone who wants to protect animals, preserve our natural resources, likes Native American stories, or just wants to see Pierce Brosnan do something unique! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0128239/
*I made this video just to share with friends!*
