  • It sold the crowd because your class has probably never seen VFX before in the first place. Let me know when you've completed another work, I wanna see it.

  • Neither has most of the people watching a lot of ads on TV, and that doesn't matter. What matters is that it appeals to the audience on a matter emotion.

  • The only emotion conveyed by employing the overused "Lux Aeterna" for the soundtrack is hackneyed insult. EVERYONE uses it. It's almost become a Zucker Brothers joke for anything "epic" or "apocalyptic". Use something quieter. The novel only features 2 main characters with a whopping 2 or 3 bullets between them and "the fire". This ain't the LOTR. Make the flyout animations slower so they can be read easily and to make it more intimate. Otherwise, good color and composition.

  • Well I came out with three promos and one of them was very quiet and intimate. But the reason I chose the epic Requiem for A Tower song, was because I was describing the RAVE reviews and excitement over the book. And the story is of epic proportions on a small level, It's an oxymoron, but it's true. The music still fits and like I said, it did it's job and got pretty much everyone in the class willing to buy the book.

  • Either way, too much flying text one after the other...

  • Ok, thats your opinion, but what's important is that it sold the crowd, which was the whole purpose of this video. So therefore, it worked. That's what Ads are all about, selling the viewer, even if it means being a little overzealous in your delivery.

  • DO NOT MISS READING THIS BOOK and then see the film. Cormac McCarthy is the author of our times. This story is powerful, sad, loving, and thought provoking.

  • I hate hearing people say this over and over. It is epic, and stays epic no matter how much it is used. What is once epic is always epic....

  • stop using this song

its not "epic" if you hear it on every single video

  • Oh, and the whole lane lines appearing and the zoom into the book, were not learned from any tutorial. So I Did add my own flare, oh and not to mention the fractal noise background. I think your picking apart to much. Almost nothing is totally original, almost everything is inspired.
