I totally remember seeing this when I was 12 in the 1968. I thought that first bit in part 2/3 of this episode ("The King lives!") was the most hilarious thing I'd ever seen. It's still pretty funny, though you should see the first part of the episode (1/3) first to get the maximum impact!
I also remember seeing an interview some years later with Don Adams, where he talked about that scene, and he said that the entire episode had been structured around it!
