We in Tucson were lucky enough to have Susie Napper here to play and give some lessons
using her magnificent Barak Normal bass viol. A rare treat. This consort is fantastic!

Very Gideon Kremer-esque interpretation.
Is this an audition for a movie sountrack?
Savall or Fretwork let you hear the interplay and the line.
These instruments are--notwithstanding--the cat's meow!

Actually William Byrd is the best English composer.

There are other players in the video whose names aren't given (but should be).

Did you say the instruments are from 1580?
I thought it was Marin Marais (1656-1728)who added the 7th string to the gamba....
Were the fantasias meant to be played in the acoustic of a resonant church?
Look forward to hearing more of your work.
